Memory GUIDE
Memory Pair Tracking with a Simple Grid Method
Randomly opening cards makes each reveal hard to place, so known pairs are forgotten before their partner appears.
Play MemoryDecision plan
Scan in one direction
Open unknown cards from left to right and top to bottom so each face has a stable grid position.
Name both coordinates
Remember a face with its row and column instead of relying on its approximate area.
Claim known pairs immediately
When a partner appears, use the next flip to clear that pair before revealing more unknown cards.
Turn two reveals into a guaranteed pair
- Reveal the next unknown card in scan order and name its position, such as row two, column three.
- If its partner was seen earlier, flip that known position next; otherwise store the new coordinate and continue the scan.
- After a match clears, resume from the first unopened position instead of choosing a random card.
Mistakes to avoid
- Remembering only that a face was somewhere near the bottom of the board.
- Ignoring a known pair to reveal another unknown card.
