Game objective
Clear every thorn nest before the rescuer queue runs out. Choose a launch arc and time one animal ability in flight.
Controls
- Mouse: drag, release to launch, then click once in flight.
- Touch: drag, release, then tap once in landscape.
How scoring works
Garden Health reaches its best value when every thorn nest breaks with the par number of rescuers. Extra launches reduce the result without blocking progress, while an uncleared clearing receives no completion score and remains available for an immediate retry.
Core mechanics
- The macaque's Root Wedge drives equal force into nearby supports, opening seams with a compact shoulder charge.
- The gibbon's Vine Coil selects a readable eligible anchor and pulls two parts of the structure toward a new collision line.
- The flying squirrel's Storm Glide opens a second airborne arc after clearing the vine sling and also pushes lightweight pieces.
- One hundred authored rainforest clearings span ten escalating chapters, introduce the three rescuers in stages, and record the best Garden Health for every cleared level.
Common failure causes
- Releasing a shallow drag can leave the active rescuer below a thorn nest before its natural movement becomes useful.
- Activating beside the vine sling wastes the flying squirrel's safe glide window or applies force before supports align.
- Spending the final rescuer on an already collapsing side can leave one distant thorn nest untouched.

Release history
- Version 0.3.0 —
Expanded the rainforest campaign to 100 levels across ten chapters, added escalating difficulty and distinct chapter transitions, and moved the vine sling farther into the playfield.
- Version 0.2.0 —
Rebuilt the chapter as the realistic Stormwild Rainforest, replaced the geometric backdrop, removed the dotted trajectory guide, and added a directly connected two-band vine sling.
- Version 0.1.0 —
Released the original twelve-level chapter with three rainforest animal rescuers, saved progression, accessibility settings, raster fracture feedback, pause recovery, and bounded startup retry.
Tips for Tempest Bloom
- Aim for the support that changes the most relationships, not automatically for the nearest thorn nest.
- Let a falling roof gain momentum before growing Root Wedge so its new direction compounds the collapse.
- Use the Vine Coil preview to confirm the anchor before launch; equal-distance ties always choose the same side.
- Delay Storm Glide until the flying squirrel has safely crossed the vine sling, then use its lift to create a second approach.
- When one thorn nest survives, study which surface shielded it and alter activation timing before changing the whole arc.
Frequently asked questions
Is Tempest Bloom based on an existing bird-launching game?
No. Tempest Bloom uses an original rainforest rescue team, species-specific abilities, thorn-nest objectives, structure rules, scoring model, visual language, levels, names, and progression.
Why does Tempest Bloom ask phones to rotate?
The puzzles depend on a wide physics playfield and separated anchors, so mobile play intentionally pauses and presents a recoverable landscape prompt rather than cropping the structure.
Does Tempest Bloom save campaign progress?
Yes. Completed clearings, unlocked levels and chapters, best Garden Health, campaign completion, sound choices, vibration, camera shake, and reduced-effects preferences persist locally.
When can each Tempest Bloom animal use its ability?
Each rescuer receives one species-specific activation during its launch. The macaque applies Root Wedge, the gibbon pulls with Vine Coil, and the flying squirrel opens a second airborne Storm Glide arc.
What happens after a failed Tempest Bloom clearing?
An uncleared level receives no completion score and remains available. The result flow identifies the failed clearing and provides an immediate retry without removing progress from earlier completed levels.
