Game objective
Drag each geometric shape into its matching outline before time or mistakes run out.
Controls
- Drag and drop: Move a shape onto its corresponding slot
How scoring works
Shapes fitted. A shape is released within the matching snap distance Five mistakes occur, time expires, or all shapes fit
Core mechanics
- Each draggable piece has one corresponding outline identified by its geometry rather than by position alone.
- A correct release must land within the slot's snap tolerance, after which the piece locks into place.
- Incorrect drops consume the limited mistake allowance while the countdown continues.
Common failure causes
- Matching by color alone can send similarly colored pieces toward incompatible silhouettes.
- Releasing on the edge of the correct outline may fall outside the accepted snap distance.
- Dragging small shapes through a crowded board increases accidental drops and obscures their destination.
How to recover a difficult position
After a rejected drop, return the piece and compare its corners and proportions with every remaining outline before dragging again. Clear the largest obvious matches first, then approach smaller slots from an open direction and release over the slot center.
How we tested this game
Gameplay reviewed .
- Desktop
- Drag-and-drop was checked for correct snaps, rejected slots, mistake depletion, completed placement, timeout, and retry behavior.
- Mobile
- Touch emulation confirmed pieces can be picked up without page scrolling and that target outlines remain visible during narrow-screen play.
Tips for Shape Fitter
- Match by silhouette before starting a drag.
- Release near the outline center to stay within snap range.
- Place large, obvious shapes first to reduce visual clutter.
