Game objective
Place tray shapes on the hex board, clear full lines, and reach the target score before time expires.
Controls
- Drag and drop: Place a complete tray shape into open hex cells
How scoring works
Block and line points. Placed blocks and completed lines add points No offered shape fits, or the timer expires before the target
Core mechanics
- Every offered tray piece must be placed as a rigid shape; individual hexes cannot be rotated or separated.
- Completing a full line in any supported hex-grid direction clears those cells and returns usable space.
- The tray refreshes after its offered shapes are consumed, so each placement affects the fit options of the next set.
Common failure causes
- Leaving isolated one-cell holes creates spaces that most offered shapes cannot use.
- Filling the center without maintaining line paths blocks multiple directions at the same time.
- Spending flexible edge gaps on small pieces can leave the largest tray shape with no legal placement.
How to recover a difficult position
When the board tightens, test the largest offered piece first and preserve its only fitting region. Use the smaller pieces to complete a line through crowded cells, then place the large piece into the space opened by that clear instead of scattering new holes.
How we tested this game
Gameplay reviewed .
- Desktop
- Drag placement was checked for valid fits, rejected overlaps, line clearing, tray refresh, no-fit failure, scoring, and restart.
- Mobile
- Touch emulation confirmed draggable pieces remain reachable below the board and that drop feedback and score survive responsive scaling.
Tips for Hex Puzzle
- Keep several long line directions open at once.
- Test the largest tray piece before spending flexible gaps.
- Prefer placements that advance two possible clears.
